Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor is an American producer stage and screen actress best known for her film roles in Ray Undercover Brother and on the television series The Mentalist. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in African-American Studies at Brown University as well as a Masters in Fine Arts in Acting at the Tisch School for the Art New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is a writer and actress, who is active in film, theater and TV. Her acting career began in the theatre. Later, she was a part of several television shows, independent films and mainstream film. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw, a character in ABC's Quantico. In the BET's amazing show The Book of Negroes she performed. In addition, she be praised by critics for her performance, but she was also awarded and nominations. In 1995, she appeared in her first performance in The Tempest as Ariel. Stage credits comprise Come and Gone Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production of Joe Turner.
